Welcome to the Press Office at the Big Burns Supper.

The Big Burns Supper 2013 will take place from Friday 25th January until Sunday 27th January the full programme of events is available on our website www.bigburnssupper.com. The Press Office can advise on specific areas of the programme, filming, recording, TV and radio broadcasts, and can arrange interviews with performers and staff.

Press Passes

All journalists, photographers and broadcasters must email press@bigburnssupper.com with the following details; number of journalists, photographers, TV and radio crew who require press passes, name of the organisation, and contact details including a contact number and email address, shows that you would like to attend, and any other requirements or requests. Please can you email me before Wednesday 23rd January, so I can have your Press Pass available to you by Thursday 24th January.

Media passes will be available for collection from the Press Office from Monday 21st January to Thursday 24th January. The Press Office will be open from 10am to 5pm. Press passes must be collected before Friday 25th January. Please note that ID will be required to verify your status.

Where is the Press Office?

The Press Office is located at: Press Office Big Burns Supper Festival 28 Munches Street Dumfries DG1 1ET The Press Office will also provide a space for filing copy and photographs, TV and radio recording, facilities for live TV and radio broadcasts (if you wish to make use of these facilities please inform us prior to the festival), interviews, unlimited tea and coffee, and amazing company. We have wireless connection but we do not provide computers, so please bring your own laptop.

Complimentary tickets

Complimentary tickets will be available for the shows that you would like to report on. Please email press@bigburnssupper.com to confirm which act you would like to see and how many tickets you will require. Please be aware that roving press passes will not be available.

How do I arrange interviews?

All requests to interview participants and staff at the Big Burns Supper 2013 should be directed through to the Press Office. Please contact us at press@bigburnssupper.com and we will do everything to facilitate your request.

Accommodation

Anyone from outside of Dumfries and Galloway who is looking for accommodation can take advantage of our hotel deals, which are available on our website.

Given the nature of the festival, we benefit primarily from pre-festival coverage as opposed to reviews of our shows. Because of this we would ask that we can negotiate a feature or article in your publication prior to the festival to ensure both the festival and yourself benefit.
