Our massive Participation Project has seen us working with over 700 members of the community for over three months - with schools from every corner of the region working with performance specialists to create the magical Opening Show to the 2013 Festival.
Ten year old Callum is scared of the dark. His Dad asks him to sleep with the lights off for the first time, he wonders how he is going to get through the night. This is no ordinary night in the town of Dumfries, and Callum is soon propelled into a world of comic proportions.
Wherever there is evil, good is never far behind. Trouble is, the battle that Callum finds himself in is soaked in history that is sure to end in a bloody finale.
Featuring an original music soundtrack by Robert Shields, created by Graham Main and designed by Caitriona McGowan - this show is possibly one of the most ambitious outdoor dance and theatre events ever to be staged in Scotland!
